Yet Another Encoding Library for encoding floating point variables into QUBOs

2026

CaDS Seminar, JülichJülich, Germany, 6 Oct 2026 - 6 Oct 20262026-10-062026-10-06 ()

Abstract: Quantum Annealers and general Ising Machines can solve Ising and QUBO problems. However, non-binary problems such as integer and floating point problems require an additional encoding step that can be done using a variety of different encodings each having their advantages and disadvantages. To be able to easily encode quadratic optimization problems into QUBOs and quickly exchange encodings, I have developed yet another encoding library (YAEL)[1]. In this talk, I will explain the functionality of the library using a simple function minimization example and demonstrate the usage for quantum support vector machines and differential equation solving.<br>[1] https://pypi.org/project/yael/
