Abstract: Protein–protein interactions (PPIs) are central to most biological processes, and represent novel targets for therapeutic intervention. It was once thought that protein–protein interfaces could not be modulated by small molecules. However, examples of successful PPI inhibitors have accumulated in recent years. The book edited by Dömling presents general strategies and recent developments in the modulation of protein–protein interactions for therapeutic intervention, and provides an overview of the current status of this emerging field.
