Abstract: Unique solutions are derived for the parabolic differential equation of heat conduction in composite slabs with perfect thermal contact. Boundary conditions of the second kind are assumed which are not compatible with the initial condition. By the method of Laplace transformation Green's functions are constructed in analogy to Jacobi's theta function for the slab. Certain convolutional solutions are used for testing software and investigating the asymptotic behaviour of solutions for small and large times.
