Abstract: C–N axially chiral carbazole derivatives were synthesised by an intramolecular Buchwald–Hartwig amination starting from C–C axially chiral biaryls utilising an axial-to-axial chirality transfer with enantiospecificities up to 91%. The mechanism of the chirality transfer was investigated via DFT calculations.
